Outdoor Writer and VPA Prostaffer Adam Greentree is really taking some great animals in Australia in 2012. He sent us an update......

"Hi all. Exhausted but still hunting my heart out, have taken my best two fallow bucks in a matter of two days, 214 Douglas Points and 235 Douglas points. Also got the drop on a large 5x5 red stag and another reasonable buck that walked within 6 meters of my positive, so cool. Enjoy the photos." Adam Greentree

"Hi Ray, more success and solid proof that VPA broadheads are the toughest broadheads on the market. I downed this big red stag at 9 meters after calling him in with a hind call during the morning while he was rutting. There was only a hard quartering front on shot on offer before the stag would have no doubt run over the top of me. Confident of reaching the heart I took the shot clean passing through the largest and thickest part of the front upper leg bone, arrow continued through the top of the brisket through the heart, far side lung and finally came to rest undamaged deep into the far side leg bone. The big Red stag came to ground in just seconds, the result a silent a quick death. I’ve also added a few more photos from the trip were the 150grn penetrator was used also. Enjoy." Adam Greentree

Congratulations to Australian Bowhunter, Outdoor Writer and VPA Prostaffer, Adam Greentree, on taking this nice Fallow Buck. He writes........

" Gday Ray, Just thought I'd share my most recent success.

Yesterday afternoon as the storms rolled in I set up the spotting scope trying to locate a fallow buck (1st day of the season in New South Wales). After a bit of searching on the western far ridge I got view of a few deer in a semi cleared location and planned for a stalk in the morning. It poured down raining all night and most of the morning, needless to say I headed out under these conditions and stuck to my plan to try and get the drop on a good buck. After a bit of quiet foot work I found myself 10 meters away from a nice buck laying out of the rain under a large tree. Using the VPA Penetrator 150gn broad head I put a shot into the deer's vitals. The buck jumped up, stumbled forward and fell over dead. The head pictured had only been wiped through the wet grass after it was removed from behind the bedding area where it was imbedded in the rock and dirt. Faultless."

Congratulations to Artist, Outdoor Writer and VPA Prostaffer Gary Logsdon on this nice late season Tom.

Congratulations to Artist, Outdoor Writer and VPA Prostaffer Gary Logsdon on this nice late season Tom. Gary writes... "The thermometer said "24 degrees" when I left the house at 4:30 this morning, however the little "temp gauge" I carry in my back pack revealed just how truly cold it was in "the hole", the name I gave the blind I built in a stand of river cane that lines the edge of a small slough. Gives new meaning to hunting 'cold turkey'."
Gary took this turkey with a Tall Tines recurve and a 300 grain 2 blade VPA broadhead.

Our Pro Staff Coordinator, Nate Treadwell, took this terrific Utah bull. He writes… "I took a slight quartering to shot on this bull and would never have had the confidence to do so without the strength of the VPA 3-Blade broadhead backing me. The arrow passed all the way through, flew several more yards and lodged half an arrow length into the dirt. After finding it, it would still shave the hair off my arm. The bull went less than 40 yards and was down in less than 3 seconds! ‘Was an awesome hunt!"
